Overview

An online order lets you complete the entire vehicle purchase digitally through Ekho Checkout. Once you enter checkout for an online-enabled vehicle, you can complete the full transaction remotely and your order begins processing immediately.

How It Works

When you enter Ekho Checkout for an online order, you complete every step of the transaction digitally—from payment to documentation to delivery arrangements.

Fully Digital Purchase

Through Ekho Checkout, you can:
  • Complete payment entirely online
  • Submit all required documentation digitally
  • Sign documents electronically
  • Arrange delivery or pickup remotely
No in-person visit is required to complete the purchase.

Online-Enabled Vehicles

  • Online orders are only available for vehicles enabled for online purchase
  • If a vehicle requires an in-person transaction, you won’t be able to complete checkout online

Immediate Processing

When you complete checkout:
  • Your purchase is processed immediately, or your financing application is submitted
  • The vehicle is assigned to your order
  • You proceed through digital fulfillment steps
  • Everything happens without an in-person visit

Verify Your Identity

Confirm your identity with a government-issued ID and selfie during checkout. Identity verification is required for multiple steps in your purchase process, including providing information to the vehicle seller, insurance validation, protection plans, and titling and registration. Why Verification Is Required:
  • Ensures you are the actual buyer
  • Required for seller compliance and fraud prevention
  • Your information must match your government-issued ID
  • Used across multiple steps of your purchase
Acceptable ID Documents: If Financing:
  • Driver’s license required (lenders require a driver’s license)
  • May need to be from your registration state
  • ID must be current and not expired
If Paying in Full:
  • Driver’s license required
  • ID must be current and not expired
State Requirements:
  • Some states require a driver’s license from your registration state
  • Some states require an in-state ID document
  • Acceptable ID types depend on your registration state

  • Registration state (if applicable)
If Verification Fails:
  • You have 3 attempts to complete verification
  • Common issues: poor lighting, blurry photos, expired IDs
  • Contact support for manual review if unsuccessful

ATV age verification

If you’re purchasing an adult ATV (all-terrain vehicle), you’ll need to complete an age verification step before placing your order. This is required by federal consumer product safety law (CPSC) and applies to ATVs with engine displacement above 200cc. During checkout, you must:
  • Confirm the intended rider is at least 16 years old
  • Acknowledge federal ATV safety requirements
  • Provide the intended rider’s date of birth
The “Place Order” button remains disabled until all verification fields are completed. If the intended rider is under 16, the order cannot be placed for an adult ATV.
Youth ATVs (200cc and under) do not require age verification at checkout. Age verification applies only to adult ATVs as required by federal safety regulations.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Yes. Online orders are designed for fully remote purchase:
  • All documentation handled digitally
  • Electronic signatures
  • Remote payment processing
  • Delivery to your location (or pickup when convenient)
You don’t need to visit in person to complete an online order.
Some vehicles require in-person purchase and aren’t available for online checkout. If you can’t complete checkout online, the vehicle may:
  • Not be enabled for online purchase
  • Require an in-person transaction per seller policy
Contact the seller for in-person purchase options.
If you’re not ready for full purchase immediately, you may be able to place a reservation with a deposit to hold the vehicle. Learn more about reservations and pre-orders.
Checkout progress is typically saved temporarily, but to secure the vehicle, you’ll need to complete your purchase.
Identity verification ensures you are the actual buyer and is required for multiple steps including seller compliance, insurance validation, protection plans, and titling and registration. This prevents fraud and ensures accurate records throughout your purchase.
You’ll need a current, valid ID to complete your online order. Renew your ID before starting checkout to avoid delays.
You have 3 attempts to complete verification. Common issues include poor lighting, blurry photos, or expired IDs. If unsuccessful after 3 attempts, contact support for manual verification.
Only certain states accept out-of-state licenses. If your state allows out-of-state licenses, additional documentation may be required later for registration (military, student, recent move, etc.).
Federal consumer product safety law requires dealers to verify that the intended rider of an adult ATV meets the minimum age requirement of 16 years. This verification is collected during checkout and retained for compliance purposes. Youth ATVs (200cc and under) are exempt from checkout age verification.
Ekho issues full refunds to buyers who cancel before signing the Purchase Agreement (or before the financing contract stage for financed buyers). This policy aligns with:
  • FTC consumer protection standards against retaining funds without a finalized agreement
  • Card network and ACH rules prohibiting fund capture without a completed sale
  • U.S. contract formation principles requiring offer, acceptance, and execution
Once a Purchase Agreement or financing contract is signed, refunds are not available except in extenuating circumstances.
