Overview

An in-person order lets you browse vehicles online and submit a purchase request, but you must visit in person to complete the transaction. This option is for buyers who prefer traditional in-person purchasing or for vehicles that require an in-person visit to finalize.

How it works

In-person orders serve as a bridge between online browsing and traditional in-person purchasing. You can research and select vehicles online, then complete your purchase in person.

Online interest, in-person purchase

With in-person orders:
  • Browse available inventory online
  • Select the vehicle you’re interested in
  • Submit your contact information and purchase interest
  • You’ll be contacted to schedule a visit
  • Complete purchase in person

Used vehicles and state eligibility

For some used vehicles, online purchasing may not be available in your state. When this applies, checkout automatically shows only the Buy in person at a dealership option. Other payment methods are not available for that vehicle. If you see only the in-person option during checkout for a used vehicle, it means your registration state does not currently support online used vehicle sales from that dealership. You can still submit your purchase interest and the dealership will contact you to complete the transaction in person.

In-Person vs. Online Orders

In-Person Orders:
  • Cannot complete purchase entirely online
  • Must visit in person for transaction
Online Orders:
  • Complete entire purchase online
  • No in-person visit required

How to Place an In-Person Order

1

Select Your Vehicle

Browse online inventory and select a vehicle marked as available for in-person purchase.
Vehicles requiring in-person purchase will not show up when filtering for online enabled vehicles.
2

Submit Purchase Request

Provide your contact information and express interest in purchasing the vehicle.
Your information is sent as a purchase inquiry.
3

Visit In Person

You’ll be contacted to schedule a visit where you complete the purchase in person.
Finalize your purchase during your visit.
