## You're in good hands

Ekho is like Shopify, but for vehicle purchases. We power the checkout and purchase experience for leading dealers and brands, handling everything from financing and payment to DMV work. We've processed tens of thousands of vehicle orders across all 50 states, and our goal is to make the buying process feel less like doing your taxes and more like buying anything else online: **Quick, easy, safe, and compliant.**

## How buying online with Ekho works

Purchasing a vehicle through Ekho is straightforward. Here's what to expect at each step:

    Start by entering Checkout from the dealer or brand's website. You'll also choose whether you want your vehicle [delivered to your home](/buyer-docs/delivery-and-pickup/delivery) or if you'd prefer to [pick up](/buyer-docs/delivery-and-pickup/pickup).

    If you're financing, you'll complete a short credit application. To get a quick heads-up on whether you'll be approved, get pre-qualified. Assuming you're approved, you'll receive 1 or more offers from our integrated lenders, compare terms, and accept the one that works best for you. You'll complete any lender requirements, sign your financing documents, and make your down payment — all online. If you're paying in full, your payment is processed and confirmed.

    Ekho handles your DMV paperwork. You'll confirm your personal details, upload any required documents, and sign your pre-filled titling and registration forms—electronically in the vast majority of states. The state might require proof of liability insurance depending on your vehicle; if so, we'll give you a heads-up and connect you with relevant insurance carriers.

    Once everything is approved, your vehicle is either delivered to your home or made available for pickup at your selected location. You'll receive tracking updates along the way, and the selling dealer or brand coordinates the entire fulfillment process.

    After you receive your vehicle, Ekho continues working with the DMV to complete your registration. You'll receive your plates and registration documents by mail, typically within a few weeks, depending on your state. If applicable, Ekho or the selling dealer will provide you with a temporary tag so that you can enjoy your new ride in the meantime.
