Overview

Track your vehicle’s progress from order to delivery or pickup. The tracking system shows you exactly where your order is in the fulfillment process through clear stages. You can see your current status, estimated delivery or pickup dates, shipping information, and contact details for questions. This works for both home delivery and pickup orders.

How It Works

Click “Track my order” from your Buyer Portal to open the tracking view. You’ll see fulfillment steps displayed vertically (typically six, with an optional seventh step for post-fulfillment requirements). Completed steps show checkmarks, your current step is expanded with details, and future steps are shown but collapsed. The information displayed adapts based on whether you chose delivery or pickup, showing relevant details like delivery address, pickup location, shipping tracking, and estimated dates.

Access Order Tracking

Click the “Track my order” button throughout your Buyer Portal to open the tracking modal and see your order’s fulfillment progress.

Understand Your Progress

See which stage your order is in and what’s happening at each step. The Fulfillment Steps:
  1. Payment finalization and ID verification - Complete payment, signatures, and ID verification
  2. Order processing - Your vehicle is being inspected and prepared
  3. Paperwork finalization - Complete any remaining paperwork
  4. Waiting for your vehicle - Vehicle is being prepared for pickup or home delivery
  5. Your vehicle is on its way / ready for pickup - Vehicle is in transit or ready
  6. Delivered / Picked up - Fulfillment complete
  7. Post-fulfillment steps (if necessary) - Complete any remaining titling and registration requirements
Note: Step 7 will not appear in the Buyer Portal tracking interface, but you may still need to complete these steps if required by your state.
Step Indicators:
  • Completed steps: Show a checkmark (✓) instead of a number
  • Current step: Shows the step number, highlighted and expanded with details
  • Future steps: Show step numbers but are grayed out and collapsed
Expanding Steps: Click any step to expand it and see detailed information about that stage. Only one step is expanded at a time. Your current step is expanded by default.

View Step Details

Each step shows specific information about what’s happening and what you need to do.

Step 1: Payment Finalization and ID Verification

When You’re Here: This is your starting point. Your order has been received, but you need to complete three things before processing begins:
  • Payment: Pay in full (cash) or pay down payment and accept financing offer (financing). Note: ACH payments take 1-3 business days to process.
  • Signatures: Sign the purchase agreement (cash) or credit application (financing)
  • ID verification: Complete identity verification
Once all three are complete, your order moves to the next step.

Step 2: Order Processing

When You’re Here: Your vehicle is being inspected and prepared, and Ekho is gathering the information needed to complete your paperwork online. This happens behind the scenes - you don’t need to do anything during this step. Your order will automatically move forward when ready.

Step 3: Paperwork Finalization

When You’re Here: You need to complete any remaining paperwork to finalize the sale: Paperwork Status:
  • “Sign any final sale paperwork” - You need to sign
  • “Wait for seller to counter-sign final sale paperwork” - You’ve signed, waiting for seller
  • “Final sale paperwork completed!” - All parties have signed
Credit Application (if financing):
  • “Sign the credit application” - You need to sign
  • “Wait for seller to counter-sign the credit application” - You’ve signed, waiting
  • “Credit application completed!” - All parties have signed
Insurance (if required):
  • “Provide proof of valid [State] vehicle liability insurance” - Full validation needed
  • “Provide basic details about your [State] insurance coverage” - Basic info needed
  • Not shown if insurance isn’t required
Complete all required items to move to fulfillment.

  • Shipping tracking reference: Tracking link or number (if available)

Step 7: Post-Fulfillment Steps (If Necessary)

Important: Step 7 will not be shown in the Buyer Portal tracking interface, but you may still need to complete these steps depending on your state’s requirements.
When You’re Here: After your vehicle has been delivered or picked up, you may need to complete additional steps to finalize your titling and registration. Even though this step doesn’t appear in the tracking interface, you may still need to complete these actions if required by your state. What You May Need to Complete: Post-fulfillment steps may include completing verification forms, handling temporary tags, tracking permanent plates and title, or completing self-registration. Troubleshooting & FAQ

Click the “Track my order” button (with a shipping icon) from your Buyer Portal. It appears on your completed/documents page, order status hub, and other order pages. The tracking modal opens showing your fulfillment progress.
Checkmarks (✓) indicate completed steps. Steps before your current step show checkmarks instead of numbers, meaning those stages are finished. Your current step shows a number and is highlighted.
Each step requires specific actions to be completed before moving forward. Check the step details to see what’s needed:
  • Step 1: Complete payment, signatures, and ID verification
  • Step 2: Wait for processing (no action needed)
  • Step 3: Complete paperwork, credit application (if financing), and insurance (if required)
  • Step 4-6: Wait for fulfillment process
If you’ve completed everything and it’s been stuck, contact support.
Estimated dates are shown when available. If you see “Not specified,” the date hasn’t been determined yet. Dates are typically provided closer to fulfillment and will update automatically when available.
The tracking steps are the same, but the information shown differs:
  • Delivery: Shows your delivery address and estimated delivery date
  • Pickup: Shows pickup location name and address, and may show shipping to that location
This means you’ve signed your documents, but the seller hasn’t signed yet. This is normal - documents need signatures from both parties. You’ll see “completed!” once all parties have signed.
Estimated dates are estimates and may change. Delivery details will be most up to date when sourced from the manufacturer or dealer directly. If your estimated date has passed, check the tracking reference (if available) for current status, or contact the shipping company or pickup location using the contact information shown in your tracking.
Tracking updates automatically when your order status changes. Check back regularly to see progress. You’ll also receive email updates at key milestones, but you can check tracking anytime in your Buyer Portal.
Use the contact information shown in your tracking steps:
  • For pickup orders: Contact the pickup location (name, email, phone shown)
  • For delivery orders: Contact the seller or shipping company (contact details shown)
  • Or contact Ekho support for general questions
If you have multiple vehicles in an order, each vehicle has its own tracking. Use the tracking button for the specific vehicle you want to monitor.
Insurance requirements only appear if your state or lender requires proof of insurance. If you don’t see insurance listed, it’s not required for your order.
Step 7 (Post-Fulfillment Steps) covers actions you may need to take after your vehicle has been delivered or picked up, such as completing verification forms, handling temporary tags, or finalizing permanent registration and title. Important: Step 7 will not appear in the Buyer Portal tracking interface, but you may still need to complete these steps if required by your state. For detailed information about post-fulfillment workflows, see Steps After Fulfillment.
