Overview

Home delivery allows you to have your vehicle shipped directly to your address. You’ll see shipping costs and estimated delivery dates upfront, provide your delivery address and any special instructions, and Ekho will handle the rest. Once your delivery is scheduled, you’ll receive email updates with tracking information and delivery details.

How It Works

During checkout, select “Ship” from the delivery options. The address form will appear below - use the address search field to find and auto-fill your delivery address. Add any special delivery instructions (like gate codes or preferred delivery times), review the shipping costs and estimated delivery date, then click Continue to save your selection.

Select Home Delivery

During checkout, you’ll see delivery options including “Ship” and “Pick up.” The Ship option shows:
  • Shipping costs (e.g., “Shipping costs $1,250”)
  • Estimated delivery date (e.g., “est. delivery December 15, 2024”)
  • Or “Calculating…” if costs or dates aren’t available yet
Click the “Ship” option. The selection expands to show shipping details and the address form appears below. Estimated Delivery Date: The delivery date shown comes from your vehicle’s specific estimated delivery date (if available), average delivery time for your vehicle type (e.g., “2-3 weeks”), or shows “Calculating…” if no estimate is available yet. The date updates automatically as more information becomes available.

Provide Shipping Address

Enter your delivery address using the address search field. Address Search: Start typing your address in the “Shipping address” field. Click the correct address from the dropdown to auto-fill all fields. Address Fields: After selecting an address, these fields auto-populate (you can edit them if needed):
  • Street address: Your street number and name
  • Apt, Suite, Unit, Company: Optional second address line
  • City: Auto-filled from your selection
  • State: Auto-filled from your selection (dropdown with all US states)
  • Zip: Auto-filled from your selection
Delivery Instructions: The delivery instructions field is required and allows you to provide important information for the delivery driver, such as:
  • Gate codes or access codes
  • Building or apartment access information
  • Preferred delivery times
  • Contact phone number for delivery day
  • Special location instructions

Search for Your Address

Type your address in the “Shipping address” search field. A dropdown appears with matching addresses as you type.
You see address suggestions in the dropdown.

Select Your Address

Click the correct address from the dropdown. All address fields automatically fill in with your selection.
All address fields are populated with your address.

Edit if Needed

Review the auto-filled fields. You can edit any field if needed, such as adding an apartment number or correcting the address.
Your address is accurate and complete.

Add Delivery Instructions

Scroll to the “Delivery instructions” field and enter any special instructions for the delivery driver.

Review Shipping Costs and Timing

Shipping Costs: The shipping cost is displayed in the Ship option description (e.g., “Shipping costs $1,250”). This cost:
  • Updates automatically when you enter your address
  • Is calculated based on distance, vehicle type, and shipping method
  • May show “calculating…” until your address is entered
  • Is an estimate until final confirmation
Estimated Delivery Date: The estimated delivery date appears next to the shipping cost. This date:
  • Shows a specific date when available
  • May show a time range (e.g., “2-3 weeks”) as a fallback
  • Updates automatically as more information becomes available
  • May show “Calculating…” if no estimate is ready yet
What Affects Costs and Timing:
  • Distance: Longer distances typically cost more
  • Vehicle type: Larger vehicles may cost more to ship
  • Delivery location: Urban vs. rural areas may affect cost
  • Vehicle availability: When your vehicle is ready affects delivery date

Save Your Delivery Selection

Before saving, make sure:
  • All required address fields are filled
  • Address is accurate and complete
  • Delivery instructions are provided
  • You’ve reviewed the shipping costs and estimated delivery date

Click Continue

Click the “Continue” or “Save” button to save your delivery selection. The form validates your address before saving.

Wait for Confirmation

The system saves your address and delivery instructions. You’ll see a loading indicator while it saves.
Your delivery selection is saved successfully.
Once saved, you’ll see a confirmation message showing your vehicle name, your full delivery address, and a note that you’ll receive email updates when delivery is scheduled.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

If shipping costs show “calculating…”, enter your shipping address first. Costs are calculated based on your delivery location and will update automatically once your address is entered.
Yes, you can update your delivery address before your vehicle is scheduled for delivery. Contact Ekho support or update it in your Buyer Portal if the option is available.
